Course Plan

The purpose of this session is to identify your own Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities and Threats and work out an action plan on the improvement areas.

Learning Outcomes:

By the end of this session you will be able to

  • Clearly identify your own strengths and decide an action plan on the areas of weaknesses.
  • Set your career goal and work out a strategy to achieve it

This module will guide you through strategies for establishing and maintaining your professional image in the workplace. Whether you are working on a construction site, shop floor or in an office, practicing professional etiquette will help ensure that your occupational environment is a positive and productive one.

This module will cover the following topics in two sessions:

  • Workplace Communication ( Verbal – Nonverbal & Listening skills)
  • Workplace Courtesy

Learning Outcomes

Upon successful completion of this module, you will be able to:

  • Appreciate how courtesy, respect and ethics contribute to a positive work environment;
  • Understand the contributing factors in effective verbal and non-verbal communication;

The module is intended participants to learn the methods to design a Resume and an attention catching cover letter for enhancing their chances of getting shortlisted

The module will cover the following topics:

  • An Introduction to the Resume
  • The Key Components of a Resume and Cover Letter
  • Bolstering Your Resume and Cover Letter

Module Learning Outcomes

Upon successful completion of this module, the participants will be able to:

  • Understand the purpose of a professional resume;
  • Identify and describe the main components of a professional resume;
  • How to build a good resume - Dos and Don’ts
  • Understand the purpose of a cover letter; and appreciate on how effective language and keywords can enhance a professional resume and cover letter.

This module will guide the participants to prepare an effective presentation and will also help them to learn on how to deliver the presentation effectively.

This Module is designed to introduce to the participants to Successful Presentation Skills by educating them on how to overcome anxiety and practice the delivery with desirable eye contact, facial expressions, gestures, movement, appearance and voice.

At the end of this module, the participants will be able to:

  • Avoid committing the top five mistakes made by presenters.
  • Overcome presentation anxiety.
  • Apply the effective presentation delivery

This module is intended to help participants to showcase their personality, strengths, interests, and abilities to potential employers.

This module will include the following topics:

  • Before the Interview
  • During the Interview
  • Negotiating Compensation & contract

The participants will also get an opportunity to interact with an HR expert who will share his experiences.

Upon successful completion of this module, the participants will be able to:

  • Understand the factors to consider when preparing for a job interview, including dressing appropriately and preparing your response to certain types of questions;
  • Identify types of interviews, types of questions and appropriate responses and follow-up
  • Describe factors to consider when negotiating salary and signing contract

The management of time and stress are the two key components to succeed in life. Creating a system to identify, evaluate, and eliminate distractors and stressors will lead to a more productive and efficient life, inside and outside of work. The participants will learn how to earn more time and be less stressed.

  • Introduction to Time and Stress Management
  • Identifying Stressors and Distractors
  • Strategies to Overcome Stressors and Distractors

  • Use a to-do list;
  • Organize priorities;
  • Differentiate between multitasking and task management;
  • Identify and eliminate distractors
  • Learn different stress coping strategies

He worked in leadership positions in the organizations such as PATNI COMPUTERS, APTECH, AMTEK AUTO, Globarena Technologies, and Institute of Clinical Research. He had also ventured of his own and successfully managed a HR consulting firm for three years.
