Prof. Abhay Kumar has acquired his Ph.D. degree from the Department of Business Management, HNB Garhwal University, Srinagar Garhwal. He has completed his MBA from Motilal Nehru Institute of Research and Business Administration (MONIRBA), University of Allahabad in the year 1980. He has graduated from Mayo Science College, University of Allahabad. He was also the elected Social Secretary of the prestigious Dr. Amaranatha Jha Hostel (Muir Hostel), University of Allahabad.

He worked in the industry for over 19 years as Senior Manager- Personnel. However, he has keen interest in the field of Marketing Management; Strategy being his forte. He has over 11 years of experience in Teaching and Research. He has a good number of research papers published to his credit. He has also headed several management institutes of repute. He has been supervising Ph.D, M.Phil., and MBA students in their research work and projects. He is also the Principal Investigator of Govt. Sponsored Projects.

He has organized and chaired several national and international Conferences, Seminars, Workshops, Symposiums, and Colloquiums. He has also been the Key note speaker at a number of Conferences and been instrumental in the organization of various FDP’s and MDP’s.

Presently, he has additional responsibilities of Chairperson – University Training and Placement Center and Dean – Students here at the University. He has vast experience in training, motivating, and counseling the student fraternity and faculty members.
