Scope of Employment

Electronics & communication engineers conceptualize, design, test and oversee the manufacturing of communications and broadcast systems. B.Sc. Honors Electronics

Programme Educational Objective

  • B.Sc. programme in Electronics provides understanding of modern electronics giving expertise in the design, simulation and use of electronic systems. It provides knowledge about components such as electron tubes, and semiconductor devices, especially transistors, diodes and integrated circuits, utilized to design electronic circuits, devices and systems, typically also including passive electrical components and based on printed circuit boards.

Polytechnic Diploma – Electronics Engineering

Objective

  • Polytechnic diploma in electronics engineering deals with basic knowledge and applications of electronic equipments. It provides knowledge about components such as electron tubes, and semiconductor devices, especially transistors, diodes and integrated circuits, utilized to design electronic circuits based on printed circuit boards.
  • To generate manpower for getting employment in the industries and other electronics based organisations of the country.
  • They will function in their profession with social awareness and responsibility.
  • They will interact with their peers in other disciplines in industry and society and contribute to the economic growth of the country.
  • They will be successful in pursuing higher studies in electronics.

Scope of Employment

Students with Polytechnic diploma in electronics can start as Trainee engineers and can be promoted to Service engineers, Test engineers, Product engineers, Senior product development engineer and Department managers. They operate, manufacture, install & maintain, Broadcasting TV, Telegraph system, Radar & Various other Telecommunication Equipment. They also work as maintenance and services engineers at telecommunication site.
