The Ph.D. Programmes are available in specializations pertaining to Computer Engineering, Electronics, Biomedical Engineering, Biotechnology, Bio-Informatics, Agri-Informatics Engineering, Pharmacy, Business Management and Mathematics at the University Campus.
The doctoral scholars undertake research work under a supervisor on an approved topic in term of the Ph.D. ordinance. The doctoral programme comprises of course work also and the research work is expected to result in new findings and original contribution to existing knowledge. The doctoral programme provides an opportunity to demonstrate analytical, innovative and independent thinking leading to creativity and application of knowledge. The scholars will be required to deliver seminars on their research progress regularly and publish their work which will be closely monitored before they submit the dissertation on their research findings for the award of the Ph.D. degree.
The University encourages research in the following thrust areas but would welcome any other interdisciplinary study subject to the approval of the concerned research degree committee.

Syllabus - Common Enterance Examaination for M.Phil./Ph.D.

Eligibility :
|
A candidate seeking registration for the Degree of Doctor of
Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Shobhit University must possess the
following qualifications:
Engineering, Management, Pharmacy & other
Professional Courses:
(a) Master’s Degree with at least 55% marks in the
appropriate field of Engineering/ Technology/ Pharmacy/
Management/ Architecture of a University or its equivalent.
OR
(b) Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering with a minimum of 75%
marks in aggregate in relevant field of Engineering/
Technology/ Architecture of a University or its equivalent,
with at least five years of experience in Public Sector
Undertaking/ Research and Development Organizations/ Private
Industries/ Service Sectors/ Educational Institutions/ any
other State and Central Government Organizations.
Basic & Applied Sciences and others:
(c) M.Phil. Degree of a University, with first division for
exemption from pre- Ph.D. course.
OR
(d) Master’s degree or its equivalent, with at least 55%
marks in the relevant field of Science/ Humanities etc.
Not withstanding anything contained in the above mentioned
rules (a) to (d), the eligibility criteria/ guidelines
prescribed and/or issued by UGC from time to time shall be
applicable for registration to all Ph.D. Programme(s) of the
University. The University shall encourage
inter-disciplinary research activity.

| Not withstanding anything contained in the above mentioned
rules , the eligibility criteria/ guidelines prescribed

| Admission Procedure |
|

Candidates fulfilling the minimum laid down qualifications will have to undertake Ph.D. Entrance test conducted by Shobhit University. Successful candidates will have to undergo for personal interview.
-
Note : Candidates who have qualified in GATE/ SLET/ UGC/ CSIR (JRF) examination will be exempted from the University entrance test, however they will have to appear for personal interview only.

Application Processing Charge - Rs.2,100/-
Registration fee - Rs.10,000/- (Once)
(i) First Semester Fee - Rs.10,000/- *
(* In addition to the above mentioned fee, candidates who undertake course work will have to pay Rs.10,000/- per course as applicable. )
(ii) For Second, Third, Fourth Semester - Rs.10,000/- per semester,
5th semester onwards - Rs 5,000/- per semester till the
completion of Ph.D.
Lab Charges, if applicable - Rs.20,000/- per year
Thesis Evaluation Charges (at the time of submission of thesis ) - Rs.20,000/-
Re-submission / Re-viva-voce fee, if applicable - Rs.5,000/-
